In a parliamentary reshuffle announced a few minutes ago, Patrick Amuriat, the president of FDC has dropped Winnie Kiiza, the Kasese Woman MP as leader of opposition in parliament.
Kiiza had served from 2016 and while she played a big role in uniting opposition legislators in parliament, her support for Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu in the race for FDC presidency could have cost her the slot.
Kiiza has been replaced by Betty Aol Ochan, the Gulu Woman MP.

In a televised statement, Amurait said the changes had been made to strengthen leadership of the opposition in parliament.
“We are going to be seated with other members of parliament to determine the remaining members to fill other positions,” he said.
He also denied claims that some people had been dropped because of their support for Muntu.
“These changes will take immediate effect what is left is informing the speaker of parliament. This should put to rest whatever speculation has been trending in social media,” he said.
Amuriat however maintained Ssemujju Nganda as chief whip. Ssemujju backed Muntu last year.
