As voters prepare to elect their LC I chairpersons today, violence has erupted in Bukasa, Bweyogerere where some people who had turned up for the election found their names missing on the village register.

The locals accuse the area GISO only identified as Majid of ferrying people from other areas to vote from here yet the locals are not on the register.

"There are many names in the register of people who are not resident here yet our own names are not in the register,"said one Paul Mukasa.

The police and military have swung into action but the situation remains tense.
