23 girls unveiled for Miss Uganda finals

Twenty three girls were on Thursday evening unveiled as the finalists for the 2018 edition of Miss Uganda at a function held at Sheraton hotel in Kampala.

Following last year's mishap in which the competition was not held, the beauty pageant is back with a  grand finale scheduled for  August 10 at Sheraton Kampala hotel.

Speaking at the function on Thursday, CEO Miss Uganda, Brenda Nanyonjo announced the beauty contest had returned with a bang.

Recently, Kezzi Entertainment Limited, who hold franchise for Miss Uganda, cleared the air about the one year break, saying it was meant to strategise and have a vision for more years to come.

Leah Kagasa ( 2016), is still the reigning Miss Uganda after the beauty contest was not held last year.

NBS television, Talent Africa and Sheraton hotel are partners for the 2018 Miss Uganda edition.

The Kiira road based television will have a reality show for the contestants whereas Talent Africa will handle production and Sheraton hotel will host the event.

Brenda Nayonjo has been at the helm of organising the beauty pageant since 2011.
