Vipers’ captain Wadada joins Tanzanian giants Azam FC

Kitende based Vipers Sports Club have sold their skipper Nicholas Wakiro Wadada to Tanzanian giants, Azam Football Club, the Nile Post has learnt.

The right back who was instrumental in the team’s win of their third trophy this season was on Saturday unveiled in Tanzania after signing a one year contract.

The Cranes defender who has been for almost all his entire footballing career will now become the third Ugandan to ply their trade for the Tanzanian giants who finished second last season.

Other players to have featured for Azam include Brian Majwega and Brian Umony.

Vipers recently signed Police FC captain Rahmat Ssenfuka who penned down a four year deal and Ibrahim Kiyemba who was a free agent from SC Villa.

The Kitende based team will represent Uganda in the Caf champions league after lifting this year’s Azam Uganda Premier League.
