VIDEO: Jose Chameleone greeted by empty seats in UK, refuses to sing

Singer Joseph Mayanja, alias Jose Chameleone shocked very few revellers when he turned up to perform at an event in United Kingdom (UK) and refused to sing.

According to people present, the singer was supposed to sing at Royal Regency Hall to mark the closure of the Uganda Youth Convention UK, but when he walked into the hall, he was greeted by a litany of chairs, the singer then refused to perform to the shock of those very few revellers present.

The event was organised by a one Samuel Yiga Joel who insists on calling himself the MP for Rubaga and Chameleone was invited to headline the event.

According to Kakensa Media, a social media news site, the events organiser was terribly hit by the flop, that the next day he staged lone performance on the streets of London to gather a little money to break even.

Kakensa also insinuated that the choice of artiste was wrong for the organisers, as Chameleone does not attract a specific fan base like his colleagues Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine.

“I am just shocked to see that even the Leon Island forever fans in London were no where to be seen. That takes you DR Chameleone back to the drawing board to re brand & build a new fan base like the one you had before. Bobi Wine meets his loyal fans in Busabala, Bebe Cool meets his in Kiwatule and how about you Chameleone? Get a permanent place like your brothers above to rebuild your brand with a big fan base,” he said.

Other critics have attributed Chameleons flop to lack of marketing from the singer and the organisers at large. They claim that the singer has no marketing team capable of turning around fortunes.

These say that Chamelone had no right to flop citing the fact that another singer, Nigeria’s Wiz Kid was in the city for a concert and he had to close some reveLlers out as the concert had sold out.

Meanwhile, popular Social Media entertainment critic, Raymond Soulfa alias Peng peng took time to chide the singer whom he claims has now turned into a shadow of his former self.

“I will not say that Leon Island has not fan base in UK, but this is totally heart breaking,” he said.

“This (the flop) is totally heartbreaking, I don’t blame Jose Chameleon for refusing to sing but I also feel bad for organisers ,” he said.
