This is not a joke. There was drama at Kotido district Police Station on May 10, when Peter Lojok Longolangiro aged 45, paraded five rats at the station, accusing them of destroying his Shs 396,000.

He now demands Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) to compensate his money.

According to Kotido District Police Commander Alphonse Ojangole, Longorangiro was advised to take the matter to the Resident State Attorney.

“I have never come across such a case in my 12 years of service in the police”, he told media.

According to the genesis of the story, Longolangiro claimed the wild rats are part of the UWA protected wild creatures which invaded his house and entered the box, where he had stored his cash.
