Suspected measles outbreak in Amuru

The Amuru district health officer Mr Patrick Odong Olwedo has reportedly said there is a suspected measles outbreak in the region.

Odong told The Nile Post that the district health officials had dispatched samples from over more than 30 suspected measles cases to the government analytical laboratories in Kampala for confirmation.

"There is a suspected measles outbreak in Amuru and so far we have dispatched samples from more than 30 suspected measles cases to the government analytical laboratories for confirmation", Odong said.

The most affected people are reportedly South Sudanese refugees.
