A member of the Fly Emirates Airlines cabin crew  was on Wednesday afternoon rushed to hospital with severe injuries after falling from a plane at Entebbe airport.

The staff who has not yet been identified was together with her colleagues preparing to board passengers for the Dubai bound aircraft.

A source at the airport says that they suddenly saw one of the members of the crew fall out of the aircraft from the side, on coming closer, they noticed she had fallen out of the emergency door which was now open.

“They were about to board passengers, it seems she opened the emergency door, because she fell from there,” the source told Nile Post when contacted.

It is not clear whether the crew member's fall was intentional as it is inconceivable  why she opened the emergence door.

According to the source, the crew member was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

“She fell sideways, so she could be safe, by the time they rushed her, she was still alive.”
