PREMIER LEAGUE PREVIEW

Manchester City v Chelsea

Manchester City need to win their next five games to clinch this year’s Premier League title, their second of the season after clinching the EFL Cup last week. The count down starts with this Sunday when they host Chelsea.

It is a difficult encounter for the two sides as Chelsea will need nothing less than three points if they are to force a chance into next year’s Champions League.

After too many disappointments and without a clear idea of what the future holds for Conte, Chelsea face another uphill task, the search for points away at a tricky Manchester City side. Chelsea lost their last Premier League game, allowing Tottenham to leapfrog them into the top four after hanging onto the spot for a long period.

My beloved Antonio Conte faces a hungry Sergio Aguero who is looking for his 200th for the Club after missing out Thursday during their win over 3-0, Arsenal.

Raheem Sterling returned to training ahead of their Arsenal game but was not be risked and could return here against a pathetic Chelsea defense line that has seemingly failed to learn from their mistakes.

This game serves as a motivating factor to Guardiola’s five-game challenge that should hand him the title before May.

Should Conte risk a defense line with Christensen-Antonio Rudiger-and Azpilicutta unless something goes wrong with City on the day.

It's hard to start imagining this Chelsea side stopping City here, even though they won 3-1 on their last game at the Etihad.

Expect a goal galore, (over 2.5) and trust City to win this encounter. Also look-out for Sergio Aguero to score in this particular game, while, a tip for Chelsea to score first could be another way to go.

Liverpool v Newcastle

Liverpool could go second if they can beat Newcastle today. They are yet to lose at home this season and haven't suffered defeat at home to Newcastle since 1995.

However, Opta stats reveal Rafa Benitez has never lost in five previous matches against former club Liverpool and indeed ‘it would be a real shock if they got a point at Anfield’.

Expect both teams to score but place a win for Liverpool.
