Locals in Lubya,a Kampala suburb have recovered a body of an unidentified man killed and dumped by the roadside.

The incident according to the Kampala Metropolitan Area police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire happened at around 3:00 am.

"The locals say they heard someone making an alarm at night but they ignored it thinking it was one of the excited revellers,"Owoyesigyire said.

The dead body was discovered a few metres from Georgina gardens,in Lubya,Rubaga division.

He said the locals who had woken up to go on with their daily chores discovered the body and alerted police.

According to the police publicist, locals could not recognise the body of the deceased because he was not known to them.

"We recovered a business card in the names of Joel Kasozi,a property broker near the body and an abandoned commuter taxi vehicle plate UBA 354E."

Owoyesigyire added that detectives have contacted Uganda Revenue Authority to ascertain the owners of the vehicle whereas others are following leads from the workplace found on the business card to connect dots that would lead to the killers.
