Isabirye appointed Human Resource Director, Parliamentary police directorate reduced to a division
The Inspector General of Police, Gen.Kale Kayihura has made new changes in the leadership of the police force.
In the new changes, former Kampala Metropolitan police commander Assistant Inspector General of Police Haruna Isabirye has been appointed as the new police director in charge of human resource development from the welfare and production direction.

The human resource development position had prior to the new changes in the force been occupied by AIGP John Ndyomugyenyi who was serving in the acting capacity following the transfer of AIGP Abbas Byakagaba who held the position to head the oil and gas directorate.
Parliament reduced to division
Meanwhile, the police force has reduced its directorate at parliament to a division and appointed another officer to head it in the new changes.
According to the message by Kayihura dated February 13, AIGP Lemmy Twinomugisha who has been the director parliamentary police has been transferred to the welfare and production directorate.
“Pursuant to section 6(a) of the police act cap 303, Superintendent of Police Anabera Nyinamahoro is appointed the new divisional commander for parliamentary police,” read in part the message.
