Three former students of Ndejje Secondary School have died in a nasty accident along Kampala-Gulu highway. The deceased have been identified as Cedric Muwanguzi, Isaac Sewajje and Vincent Male.

Their vehicle, registration number UAR 860W Toyota Brevis reportedly rammed into a tipper lorry registration number UAY 946F, one mile to Bombo town council this afternoon.

The students were heading to the school to pick their Uganda Certificate of Education examination results.

Doctor Charles Kahigiriza the Head teacher of Ndejje Secondary School explains that residents and police transferred the victims to Bombo Military Hospital but the three were pronounced dead on arrival. Their colleague identified as Timothy Njogera sustained injuries and has now been transferred to Mulago Hospital in critical condition.

Kahigiriza has described the incident as a tragic and big loss to both parents as well as the school.

Paul Kangave, the Savannah Regional Police Spokesperson says that the preliminary investigations tell that it could have been caused by over speeding. Kangave adds that traffic police officers are at the scene trying to remove the wreckage of the cars.
