Two Ugandan footballers unveiled at Zambian top flight side

Two Ugandan players have been unveiled at Buildcon, a Zambian top flight Football Club this afternoon.

Hood Kaweesa formerly at Police FC and Abubaker Kasule formerly at Express FC were on Tuesday unveiled by the Ndola based team.

Kaweesa who by the time the Uganda Premier League went into recess was the joint top scorer with Vipers’ Milton Kariisa at seven goals recently signed a three year deal at Buildcon.

Eighteen year old Kasule was part of the team that represented Uganda in the U-20 COSAFA tournament played in Zambia in December and signed a two year deal with the Zambian top flight side.

The unveiling of the two players makes three, the number of Ugandans plying their trade for Buildcon Football Club in the Zambian top flight league.

The other player is former KCCA FC striker Geoffrey Sserunkuuma.

Pair shown exit

Meanwhile, Buildcon have released two Ugandan players including defender Isaac Isinde and midfielder Boban Zirintuusa.

According to the club, the two Ugandans are among the 16 players shown the exit and will not be part of the Zambian giants in the 2018/19 season that is set to kick off.

Through the new signings Buildcon seeks to finish above the ninth position that they achieved last season in the Zambian super league.
