Crystal Newman to host Dinner Gala at Uganda Festival in Washington DC

Sanyu radio presenter Crystal Newman has been contracted as official host of the grand finale dinner gala at Uganda Festival in Washington DC.

The festival organized by Ugandans in diaspora under their umbrella body UNAA Causes is due to take place from August 31 to September 3 at Gaylord National Resort- National Harbor, in Washington DC.

The gala which will take place on Sunday September 2nd, 2018 will feature a Red Carpet Experience to promote Ugandan Fashion Labels, a Festival Runway and lots of entertainment including the legendary the Afrigo Band.

According to festival organizers, several artistes have been lined up to present at festival including Ugandan singing duo Radio and Weasel.

“We have set the grand opening for August 31 2018, and it will feature artistes like; Afrigo Band, Radio and Weasel, Lydia Jazmine, Fille Mutoni and many others. It will be entertaining and no talk at all,” Mr Caroli Mpoza, UNAA Causes publicity secretary says.

“Also prepared is a boat cruise blasting away with live music for 5 hours and drifting pas iconic Washington DC landmarks like the Jefferson Memorial, Georgetown waterfront and Lincoln Memorial, this is scheduled a day after the grand opening,”Mr Mpoza adds.
