Don Zella drags Spark TV to court over flopped event, wants Shs1.5b

Upcoming outside- countries- based Kampala socialite, Don Zella has dragged Spark TV to courts for alleged breach of contract.

The social media fame claimer, insists that the Serena based station inflicted a Shs1.5b loss by leaving her in the cold during her Gal Power event, and jumping onto Zari’s white party, despite signing a memorandum of understanding with the former.

Through her lawyers; Balondemu & Co advocates, Zella has given the station an ultimatum of seven days to put the cash on the table or matter proceeds to court.

“We are reliably advised by our client that you licentiously deviated from the said memorandum of understanding and the media space order causing out client financial loss. Our client lost income of Uganda Shillings 1,500,000,000, for which she holds you squarely liable,” the notice to sue reads in part.

Don Zella launched her Gal Power event in bid to unseat socialite Zari Hassan, the event was further scheduled at Club Play just a few music beats away from Club Guvnor that hosted Zari’s famous white party.

The ladies went head to head, throwing out all form of socialite strategy. But as night approached, Don Zella and her cohort went mute as their numbers were miserable.

In the same spirit, Spark TV that had been allegedly contracted to broadcast the event live switched their cameras and gadgets to Zari’s event, leaving Don Zella with only one gadget- Her phone that she used to rant during the event.
