Police in Kabalagala have arrested city socialite Brian Kirumira, also known as Bryan White .
According to deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Luke Oweyesigyire, Bryan White shot one Victor Bitwire before he was rushed to hospital.
“The incident happened at around 2am in Buziga at the premises of Bryan White Kirumira,”Oweyesigyire said.
“Bitwire was shot in the shoulder before being rushed to taken Kampala International Hospital. ”
The police mouthpiece said the flamboyant socialite has been arrested on charges of attempted murder .
“Circumstances sorrounding the shooting are still under investigation and also the source of the gun he used is still being investigated,”he said.
The source of the gun used by Bryan White will be a source of concern to security agencies and whether he acquired it lawfully.
This is not the first time the city socialite has been at the centre of controversy.
A few months ago, Bryan White was spotted riding in a posh convertible vehicle with unidentified men welding AK47 rifles.
Later, photos of him being guarded by policemen in plain clothes holding automatic riffles circulated on social media.
