A falling electric pole has struck a crime preventer, killing him instantly.
The incident occurred Wednesday morning along Bananuka drive in Kakooba division, Mbarara Municipality.
The deceased has been identified as Robert Kibogo, a crime preventer and resident of Rwentondo in Kakooba division. Kibogo has been working with Kakooba Police post in Mbarara Municipality.
Julius Tugumizemu, an eye witness says the pole gave way because it was rotten. Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi Region Police Commander, says they are investigating the matter.
