The Minister in charge of veteran Affairs, Maj Bright Rwamirama has refuted reports that there are disagreements between some security organisations particularly the Uganda Police Force and the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI).
Appearing before the Defence Committee in parliament, Rwamirama said: “Police , military intelligence and CMI have been working together in conducting joint operations right from the brutal murder of AIGP Kaweesi”.
Early this month, CMI arrested two senior police officers, Joel Aguma and Nixon Agasiirwe over charges of kidnap of a Rwanda national.
However, it was not a bed of roses for Rwamirama as MPs led by Theodore Ssekikubo, the Lyemiyaga MP, accused him of playing a role in the confusion between the police and other security agencies.
