NMS to conduct free yellow fever vaccination for 10 days

Starting today, the National Medical Stores (NMS) will carry out a Free Yellow Fever vaccination exercise for 10 days at Namboole Stadium.

The exercise ends on December 7.

According to a statement from NMS "Immunization is one of the ways that people can use to prevent diseases.

The exreice shall benefit Ugandans living in and around Kampala from the age of 9 months to 59 years.

Currently, the government is also immunizing all children below 5 years against polio.

"This is free immunization and health workers are moving from house to house. We encourage all Ugandans to ensure that all children below the age of 5 are immunized against polio," read part of the statement.
