Katikkiro tells Buganda leaders not to be selfish

The Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, has warned the leaders of the different departments in Buganda kingdom against being selfish, saying this will impede development in some of the departments in the kingdom.

Mayiga was addressing a Buganda leaders' forum on Friday.

The forum was aimed at evaluating the 2014-2018 Buganda strategic plan to assess its achievements and failures.

A tough speaking Mayiga said: “At the beginning of this year (2017), I saw selfishness among some departments where one department works on its own."

The katikkiro encouraged the leaders to support each other for the growth and betterment of the kingdom.

"Like you have clapped those hands, try hard to support each other in your various departments," he said.
