The images show Mugabe with Zimbabawe Defence Forces commander General Constantino Chiwenga, SA Minister of Defence Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula (in yellow head gear), Zimbabwe Defence Minister Dr Sydney Sekeramayi and Zimbabwe State Security Minister Cde Kembo Mohadi at State House, Harare.
Other reports reveal that Father Fidelis Mukonori who is close to President Mugabe has been central to negotiations between him and the army.
Earlier, it was rumored that Mugabe had insisted he was still the legal leader of Zimbabawe and chose the terms of engagement. However, according to Travor Ncube, a media mogul with sources privy to the meeting, Mugabe is seeking safe passage for him and family and it looks like he got it.
I am reliably informed that a deal is being finalized. It appears Mugabe’s demands for safe passage for his family have been granted. Final details might be confirmed in a few hours. #Zimbabwe
