Seven KIU students perish in road accident

Seven students attached to Kampala International University have perished in a road accident.

The accident happened along Kampala- Gulu highway in Nakasongola town. According to reports gathered on social media from colleagues, the group belonged to the Banyarwanda association.

According to a one Molly Kyakuhaire, the students were coming from a party when the commuter taxi they were traveling in rammed into another taxi heading the opposite direction. They were coming from an event they attended under their umbrella- Banyarwanda Students’ Association (BASA).

Another colleague of theirs, a one Asiimwe Abdulwahab says the students were returning from a wedding party.

Among the deceased include; The President of the association; Frank Ngarambi, Fred Kasasira, Vincent Kwizera and four others.

The injured have been rushed to hospital in Luweero. Several people have started showering the timelines of the deceased students with condolence messages. A one Mulungi Betty could not hide her shock, posting on the Facebook page of Kasasira as thus; “Kasasira Fred our blood.”

Robert Karuhanga says: God gives and takes. No one knew that you’re going to meet your creator!. the few moments I spent with you yesterday evening will never erase in my memories. the way you said good bye to me before leaving will never come out of my memories.
Only to receive a call that you have gone. I could not believe it.you have gone too soon. any way God had good plan for you.
May your soul rest in eternal peace Fred Kasasira
