NBS TV reporter nominated for Africa Woman award

A senior reporter with NBS TV, Innocent Nabaasa, has been nominated in Her Network Woman

of the year award under the "Pan African recognition" category.

Nabaasa is being recognised for the extra ordinary role she has played as both a journalist and film  maker to empower fellow women.

According to the network, Nabaasa is popular for using film, broadcast and social media to raise awareness about abortion and its consequences .

Through the NGO she heads,  Fabs Organisation, Nabaasa has written, directed and produced several films like: 'The Exodus; My life time and The Forbidden that Talk about the Consequences of Unsafe Sex, Unwanted Pregnancies and Unsafe Abortions in Uganda and how these are claiming

millions of women's lives daily.

Nabaasa is also known as an exceptional woman amongst her peers who has chosen to openly speak about a topic many have shunned.
