Police rescues suspected thieves from mob
Two people survived death today morning when a mob descended on them after suspecting them of snatching money from a mobile money agent.
The two, a boda boda rider and a passenger​, are said to have disguised as clients who claimed they wanted to withdraws Shs 1 million from the agent stationed near Sheraton hotel.
As the agent sorted the money, one of them grabbed it and he jumped on a standby boda boda.
The agent screamed attracting the attention of people and other boda boda cyclists who were nearby.
They pursued the two until they caught up with them. They then started beating them up as they pleaded for their lives. Police later came and rescued the suspects from the mob.
They were driven to Mulago hospital.
