Gen Wamala visits MP Zaake

Gen Katumba Wamala, the minister of state for Works, has a few minutes ago visited the Francis Butebi Zaake, the Mityana Municipality MP who was roughed up by security officers in parliament last week.

Wamala, who some quarters have castigated for having gotten involved in the beating of Zaake, arrived at Rubaga hospital at 1.00 PM. He was taken to the private room where Zaake is receiving treatment. Zaake was badly beaten and in the first few hours of his admission, he was put on oxygen. Wamala over the weekend denied having played a role in roughing up Zaake. He said he tried to calm tempers of the opposition MPs as well as restrain the security officers.
