Airtel introduces data bundles that don’t expire
Telecommunication company, Airtel Uganda has announced the introduction of internet bundles that don’t expire.
Speaking during the launch of the bundles named Chillax bundles , Amit Kapur, the Chief Commercial Officer for Airtel Uganda said that since the outbreak of the pandemic and its effects like the lockdown, people spend a lot of time on internet not for leisure but work.

“In the last one year or so, the world has changed as data has become one of the most sought after items. Students are now using internet to do distance learning, health and entertainment industry use the internet to extend services to people. We therefore decided to introduce data bundles that don’t expire,”Kapur said.
He explained that the new innovation aims at seeing that customers can use internet at their own pace without rushing.
“With these bundles, you can use data for as long as it is available. The only way data gets expired is when it gets depleted. “
According to the Airtel Uganda Commercial Officer, with a total of 2100 masts around the country, customers will enjoy their seamless 4g network using the new bundles.
The offering allows internet users to get 1.5GB, 7GB and 40GB for shs7500, shs25000 and shs100,000 respectively.
