"We are few but we shall triumph in the end," Muntu assures ANT supporters

Gen Mugisha Muntu, the leader of the Alliance for National Transformation(ANT), has said that some people undermine their efforts to transform Uganda because of their few numbers but that won't stop them from pursuing their mission of causing change.

Muntu made the remarks while engaging with Kigezi sub-region ANT leaders and flag bearers who lost in the last elections.

Months after performing abysmally in the 2021 general election, the leaders of ANT led by Muntu have dusted themselves and are picking up the pieces.

They have now hit the political road to find out what was done right and wrong during the elections.

According to Muntu, they are trying to find out if there are things they did which led to the disastrous performance.

The only recognisable victory for ANT came from Terego where Wilfred Saka, their member, was elected the district chairperson.

Muntu said that in their discussions, they have tackled several things which will bear fruits ahead of 2026 general election.

"Since the beginning of time, there are remnants and these are always few but in the end they win unless they give up. People may look at us as few but we are remnants who are not ready to give up and we are sure we shall overcome,"he said.

He said the progress of true history has always been achieved by men and women determined to advance truth and justice.

"I ask you not to give up. In our society, things are upside down. The crooks walk freely with their heads up while the honest men and women are hiding themselves. One thing that the late Magufuli of Tanzania tried to achieve was to ensure that crooks go into hiding. We have to reverse this trend in our country,"he said.

He noted that some groups that boast of numbers are actually "empty" and there is nothing they can do to cause fundamental change in Uganda.

"We are few but have the values and principles and determination to transform this country and by God's grace we shall scatter those numbers,"he said.
