However, in a statement,Britam admitted they failed to live to the expectations of the public.
"We tried baking a cake and fell flat on our faces! Some say, that it is not the gift, but the thought that counts most, right?
Well, we agree with a majority of you who said the cake did not do justice to this massive milestone and the occasion at hand,"Britam said in a statement.
Competition
However, the company says they have started a challenge where bakers will be asked to provide the best cake products.
"We have come up with The Great Britam Bake Off Challenge. We are calling out all bakers both large and small to take part in the design of a new cake to be presented to Uganda Airlines," the company said.
The insurance company said the best design will be funded to bake and personally present the cake to Uganda Airlines in addition to delivering a donation to a charity of their choice.
"The next four will also receive a contract to bake a cake for fourĀ charities within Kampala while also handing over donations."
Bakers interested in taking part in the challenge are advised to upload their digital profile and cake design, sketch, or idea via http:bit.ly/BritamBakeOffChallenge
The deadline for submission according to the Britam CEO, is Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at 5 pm.
