Museveni appoints Langa as new Judiciary Chief Registrar
President Museveni has named Sarah Langa Siu as the new Chief Registrar of courts of Judicature.
Langa’s appointment is contained in an August,12, 2020 letter to Justice Benjamin Kabiito, the chairperson of the Judicial Service Commission by Museveni.

“As per the advice of the Judicial Service Commission, I have appointed persons below as Chief Registrar and Registrars of the Judiciary,” the letter also copied to the Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Principal Judge,, Secretary to the Judiciary and the Solicitor General reads in part.
Langa has been the Deputy Registrar of the Civil Division of the High Court.
The position fell vacant last year when President Museveni appointed the then Chief Registrar, Esta Nambayo as a High Court judge but Tom Chemutai has been holding the position in acting capacity.
Other people appointed as registrars include Harriet Nalukwago Ssali, Samuel Emokor, Amos Kwizera, Suzan Kanyange and Anguandia Godfrey Opifeni.
