Ainamani relishing Entebbe Open Challenge
There is something different about the 10th edition of the Castle Lite Entebbe Open.
For one, it is now part of the Safari Tour Golf series that then accords the privilege to Ugandan golfers to qualify for the Magical Kenya Open 2020 that is a certified European tour event.
The previously two-day affair will now run for four days from October 30-November 2 at the par-71 course in Entebbe.
Uganda will have 28 pros at the event out of the 56 registered for this year’s edition.
Abraham Ainamani whose first pro championship win was at the Entebbe Open last year is rearing to go.
“I am expecting a big win because there is more incentive this time round,” Ainamani told Nile Post today.
“The greens are really good and I have an advantage since I normally play here. My goal is to get 100 points or more to add to the points I have already collected, but I know it is going to be tough,” he added.
Up to Shs40m is available for the professional kitty to be shared out by the winners.
