UPL: Busoga United draw first blood in Jinja Derby with 3-0 drubbing of BUL FC

The Jinja Derby ended in a 3-0 victory for visiting Busoga United against BUL FC at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru town, Buikwe District.

The first half was a largely free-flowing affair, albeit with hardly any effort on goal.

The second half was more of the same, up until the 72nd minute when Busoga United new signing, Boban Zirintuusa, converted from the spot after teammate Ivan Wani had been brought down in the area by BUL FC's Walter Ochora.

That goal sent BUL FC into panic mode, with a number of rush shots following.

Busoga United then made sure of the points in the 82nd minute when Joel Madondo scored what he's fast getting to be known for, a beauty.

There was still enough time for the visitors' third, this time calmly slotted by substitute, Lawrence Tezikya, in the last minute of added time. Tezikya has only been promoted to the Busoga United first team this year from their junior side.

The win makes it 2 victories from 4 for Busoga United, with BUL FC registering just their first loss in 3 games, having beaten Express and Police in their first 2 games.

Express vs. SC Villa will be the televised game when StarTimes Uganda Premier League action returns to Sanyuka TV on Friday. Coverage starts at 3pm.
