It is going to be another battle for supremacy on Friday evening as Uganda Revenue Authority hosts newcomers Kyetume FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Sam Ssimbwa’s URA was haplessly beaten by newcomers Wakiso Giants at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium whereas the Mukono based side also nicknamed The Slaughters lost one-nil to Maroons at Luzira and the game at Namboole will be one where each of them seeks redemption.

Speaking about the loss on Tuesday, Ssimbwa blamed the loss on his defenders that he said would have to face his wrath for letting such goals into their net.

He, however, said he would be ready for the Kyetume game.

“We did not perform well against Wakiso Giants. We have had a short time to recover and work on our mistakes but nonetheless, we are ready and want to win tomorrow’s game,”Ssimbwa said.

For Kyetume FC assistant coach, David Katono, the team is bullish as they face the tax collectors.

“We respect them but they too lost their previous game. We shall put our loss behind and seek to recover as we face URA FC,”Katono said.

“They have better players than we do but we have rectified our mistakes and ready for the enemy.”

The Kyetume FC assistant coach, however, expressed concern over the absence of their goalkeeper, Joel Mutakubwa who traveled with the Cranes for a friendly in Kenya.

Men to watch

Kyetume FC should be wary of on-form midfielders Said Kyeyune, Mikdad Ssenyonga, Joachim Ojera and Shafik Kagimu who might cause havoc any time.

On the other side, the taxmen will be watching out for former homeboy, Robert Ssentongo but also Cephas Kambugu who might dent their shaky defence.

On the log, URA FC are 5th on three points, the same as Kyetume, but the latter has an inferior goal difference.
