Allan Okello on song as KCCA FC beat Onduparaka to reach Pilsner Super 8 finals

Youngster Allan Okello with a man of the match performance guided defending champions KCCA FC to their second consecutive Pilsner Super 8 finals on Friday.

The Kasasiro boys beat last year’s finalists Onduparaka FC 3-1 to storm the finals in a game played at the StarTimes stadium, Lugogo.

The hosts took the lead only four minutes after kick-off through academy graduate, Musa Ramathan’s sol effort.

The goal set the ball rolling for the Kasasiro boys that later doubled their lead through the day’s captain, Allan Okello who continued tormenting the Caterpillars like has done before.

In the second half, the visitors pulled a goal back thanks to a Bashir Bheto’s 52nd minute strike which gave them hope for a fair result on the day but their joy did not last long enough when Okello struck the second time to make it 3-1.

The Caterpillars never returned to life.

Okello’s brace took his tally to seven goals in seven games against the Caterpillars from Arua, having opened his account by scoring a hat trick against the same opponents in his debut game at KCCA FC two years ago.

Speaking shortly after the game, KCCA FC coach Mike Mutebi said the game was a good test as the team prepares to play their return leg game against African Stars from Namibia in the CAF Champions League

The win ensured KCCA set up a Pilsner Super 8 final with Kitende based Vipers Sports Club to be played next week.

Onduparaka will on the other side play with Mbarara City for the third place on Tuesday in Arua.
