KCCA FC sign John Revita on a two-year contract from rivals Express

StarTimes Uganda Premier League defending champions, KCCA FC have signed defender John Orenia Revita from rivals Express FC, the club has announced.

The Kasasiro boys last month lost their skipper Timothy Awany they sold to Israel Premier League side Ashdod FC and had left a vacuum at the center back, prompting them to begin a search for his replacement.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Lugogo based club announced the signing of Revita on a two-year contract at an undisclosed fee.

“The ponytail Uganda Cranes defender, arguably one of the best passers of the ball in the local league has previously played for Bukavu Dawa FC in the Democratic Republic of Congo before joining Express FC in 2018/19 season where he was handed the captain’s armband in the second round,” KCCA posted on their website.

Describing him as having got crisp passing, splendid game reading, great composure, technical brilliance and comfort under high pressure, the Lugogo based team said Revita will help fill the gap left behind by the departure of Awany in the defence.

“I am super excited to join a team filled with immense talent. I have dreamt being a winner before and here is an opportunity for me to pick silverware at KCCA FC. I want to win trophies, to get myself in the history of this club,” Revita was quoted by the KCCA FC website.

He becomes the third player shipped in by Mike Mutebi’s team after Erisa Ssekisambu and Simon Sserunkuuma as the 13-time champions brace for the new season.
