Afcon proceeds: Another Ugandan joins Egyptian Premier League club
Despite being ejected at the round of 16, Uganda is still reaping big from the concluded 2019 African Nations Cup after another player joined the Egyptian Premier League.
Vipers Sports Club captain, Taddeo Lwanga over the weekend became the fourth player to put ink to paper for an Egyptian Premier League club when he joined Tanta Sports Club.

On Sunday evening, the hardworking holding midfielder was unveiled after inking a three year deal with the club founded in 1920.
Vipers confirmed the departure of their captain saying he left after the expiry of his two-year contract at the Kitende based club.
“He established himself as an integral part of the team and proved to be one of the most technically-gifted players in the Uganda Premier League,” the club said on their website.
“His importance to us was emphasized when he guided the team to the 2017/18 League title, a quarterfinal slot in the Cecafa Kagame Cup and Uganda Cup runners up. The skipper also played a big role as we finished second in the League last season.”
The former SC Villa skipper becomes the fourth player to join the Egyptian Premier League courtesy of the just concluded African Nations Cup.
Other players are Emma Okwi, Abdu Lumala and Khalid Aucho who followed former Cranes coach Sebastien Aucho.
Former KCCA FC striker Derrick Nsibambi is the other Ugandan playing in Egypt for Smouha.
