New catch, Abdu Lumala named in Pyramids’ CAF Confederation Cup squad

Uganda Cranes winger, Abdu Lumala has been included in Egyptian giants Pyramids Football Club’s squad for the 2019/2020 CAF Confederation squad.

The 22-man squad released by the Egyptian moneybags has the fast-paced and impressive player is one of the 11 midfielders chosen to represent the team during continental duties.

  The 22- year old winger who has been plying his trade for Swedish side Kalmar FF was early this week unveiled at Pyramids Football Club after an impressive spell during the just concluded African Nations Cup in Egypt attracting interest from various clubs.

Lumala reunited with former Cranes coach Sebastien Desabre who after exiting the Ugandan job said he would recommend players from the Pearl of Africa to play in the Egyptian Premier League and abroad.

The promise has started with securing Lumala at Pyramids.

Abdu Lumala has contributed 21 goals and 12 assists in 130 games for various clubs including Superettan, Allsvenskan, Kalmar FF, and Svenska Cupen among others he has played for.
