Muntu noted the failure to prepare political leaders could cost the country heavily since most political leaders are not trained and lack the necessary skills to perform their duties.

He noted the initiative is aimed at educating all the women in country that Uganda is going to be built by Ugandans.

He said women should be aware of all the issues their fellow women are facing across the country and be able to aggressively address such issues.

He noted that the training is also to educate women about their rights and also how start income generating projects.

Alice Alaso in charge of Finance noted that most politicians get into leadership and occupy political space without any training.

“We politicians get into leadership and occupy political space without any basic training unlike other disciplines," she said.

She noted that the skills and the knowledge women will get from the training will help them to empower other women in their respective areas.
