Kadaga calls for stronger ties between Uganda and Morocco

The speaker of parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, has urged government to increase its effort in promoting cultural tourism as a way of marketing Uganda to the diaspora.

Kadaga was speaking in Morocco where she is on the invitation of the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Morocco Habib El Maliki.

Kadaga toured the Mohammed V Mausoleum, a tomb where King Hassan II and his sons were buried.

“We have been taken to tour the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, where we found very many people who were also touring this place. Uganda, too, has various places rich in culture and history that government should explore,” she said.

Kadaga said that government should make it a national policy and enlist must see tourist attractions where all visitors on official visits must be taken as a way of selling Uganda as a tourist destination.
