Desabre says Uganda Cranes played under pressure after scoring against  Zimbabwe

Uganda Cranes coach Sebastien  Desabre has said his boys played under pressure after scoring their only goal against Zimbabwe

Despite having a brilliant start that saw them scoring as early as the 12th minute through Emma Okwi, Uganda however found a hard time with the Zimbabweans.

Dashing from the right flank, Abdu Lumala fired towards the Zimbabwe goal before the goalkeeper George Chigova parried it off only to find the foot of Emma Okwi waiting to do what it does best.

However, the goal seemed like a stone in a swarm of bees because the Zimbabweans since then never relented as they produced a number of attacks onto the Cranes goal that later culminated into a goal only five minutes to recess.

According to Desabre, his players didn't manage the game well following  the goal by Okwi.

"We scored first and after that goal we accepted the pressure of the game. We gave out too much.We failed to control it and conceded goal," the French tactician said during the post match press conference.

Desbare admitted that the absence of Murushid Jjuuko also played to the team's disadvantage because they were not so good in the back.

He however noted that the boys stabilised in the second half to force a draw off a resurgent  Zimbabwe whose attacks were commanded by Knowledge  Musona and danger man Khama Billiat.

He however noted that in the second half, his boys managed to recover before forcing the resurgent Zimbabwe into a draw.

"When we tried to organise ourselves, it was better in the second half."

Uganda is now second in group A with 4 points, two off table leaders Egypt who beat DRC two nil later.

The East African side will now need only a point off Egypt in their encounter to storm the round of 16,a feat they last saw happen over 40 years ago in 1978 where Uganda was beaten in the finals by hosts Ghana.
