Museveni applauds Busoga Muslim leadership

President Museveni has applauded the Muslim leadership of Busoga for the role they have played in fostering unity among muslims in the sub region.

His message was delivered by the second Deputy Prime minister Kirunda Kivejinja during the swearing-in ceremony of Busoga regional Kadhi Sheikh Dr Hussein Bowa at Iganga Muslim district.

Museveni also thanked the muslim leaders for encouraging people to support NRM government and all its programmes.

He noted that the support and love showed towards the regime has helped in developing the sub region.

He donated Shs 50 million and a car to the office of the Regional Kadhi.

The Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Shaban Ramathan Mubajje who presided over the swearing-in ceremony noted that he has highhopes in Sheikh Dr Bowa.

He said he is optimistic that Bowa will deliver services to the Muslims of Busoga and the country at large.

Mubajje disclosed that UMSC General Assembly will soon introduce a clause in UMSC constitution that will allow regional kadhis to have deputies.

Dr Bowa promised Muslims that he will work towards unity and development in the region and the country at large

He appealed to the leaders of Busoga to give him a hand as the regional kadhi.
