Education

Missing Makerere University student and former guild presidential aspirant on the 'People Power' ticket, Mukisa Joshua William has been found, Nile Post confirms.

Mukisa has for close to two weeks been missing with both friends and family having scanty details about his whereabouts. He had been last seen on Friday, 17 May 2019 at Lumumba Hall, where he resides in Makerere.

According to a family source, Mukisa was found yesterday, Monday June 3, around a swamp.

In a phone interview with the Nile Post, the family source revealed that Mukisa was first taken to Police before rushing him to Mulago hospital because of the condition they found him in.

He says that he was found with scars and marks of physical beatings which are suspected to have been inflicted upon him by his tormentor because he was in perfect condition by the time he went missing.

"He was found around a swamp but we were only able to make contact with him today(Monday) morning. He is able to talk but very weak with scars and marks of physical beatings all over his body," the source revealed to Nile Post.

Mukisa was later transferred from Mulago National Referral Hospital on orders to the Bombo Military Hospital.

Sources told Nile Post that this was due to congestion they found at Mulago Hospital.

Our efforts to reach Mukisa for a comment about what transpired have so far been futile as public visits to him have been limited as the medics try to ensure a speedy recovery.
