President Museveni who started a three day state visit to Kenya today could pay a visit to Speaker Rebecca Kadaga at Aga Khan hospital in Nairobi tomorrow, sources have told us.
Kadaga was flown to Kenya on Saturday morning a day after she was admitted at Nakasero Hospital ostensibly due to fatigue.
Now sources within State House have told us that the president could squeeze time and visit the speaker whose condition is said to have improved.
Museveni who flew into Mombasa today, is expected in Nairobi tomorrow. He will travel on the Standard Gauge Railway, becoming the first president, besides Kenyatta, to do so.
Today, Museveni and his Kenyan counterpart Uhuru Kenyatta held a press briefing at State House Mombasa where they each re-affirmed their commitment to strengthening the economic ties.
Both said without these ties, the economic prosperity of the two countries would be under threat.
Yesterday, the deputy speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah officially told legislators to pray for Kadaga’s quick recovery.
