Yasin Mugabi could debut for Purple Sharks

Goalkeeper Yasin Mugabi is expected to make his first start for the Purple Sharks since joining the big league outfit last December having left Zambian side Lusaka Dynamos. The Ibrahim Kirya coached side takes on a Bukedea in Bugembe where they host their games.

The former SC Villa and KCCA FC number one says he joined a second division outfit because of the club’s organisation and he believes they will be in the top division next season.

“Wakiso Giants are a very good team and well organised that’s why i decided to join a second division team and am going to make sure i do my best to perform. i know we are going to make it to the super league “

Striker Norman Ojik who joined the club from top tier side Police FC in January shares the same belief in the club’s ability as the shot stopper.

“Football calls for decision making.i joined wakiso because i knew they will make it to the top flight “

Their head coach Ibrahim Kirya says the focus for the club is to score as many goals as possible when they host Bukeda town council.

“Our focus is on finishing because we have to score to win “

Wakiso giants is top of the Elgon group of the fufa big league with 29 points and is the only un beaten side in the top two leagues in Ugandan football while Bukedea is 6th and is looking to become the first club to score a goal against the purple sharks in Bugembe.
