Don Moen to open yearly gospel music festival in Uganda, NBS TV to sponsor

World renowned minister Don James Moen and Uganda's recording top gospel artiste like Pastor Wilson Bugembe, Levixone Exodus, Brian Lubega, Sandra and Watoto Childrens Choir are coming together to inaugerate a music fest dubbed, “Kampala Praise Fest 2019 Edition One.”

Speaking at a press conference this morning, Isaac Rucci the project manager for this edition from RG consulting said that Don Moen is set and very excited to come back to Kampala and praise and worship with Ugandan believers and non believers for we are all sons and daughters of God.

He also mentioned that the festival will be an annual gospel event with the world's biggest gospel acts gracing the subsequent editions.

The brand manager Next Media Services Mr. Greg Busolo applauded local gospel talents for jumping at the chance to take part in the first edition. He said NBS TV is sure to telecast this event as it shows the unity of faith of worshippers in Uganda.

The event is slotted to be on Friday, 8 February 2019 at Kololo airstrip.

Don Moen is an American singer-songwriter, worship leader, and producer of Christian worship music.

Moen has produced 11 volumes for the Hosanna! Music series of worship albums. His first album under his own name, Worship with Don Moen, was released in 1992. His music has enjoyed total global sales of over five million units. He worked for Integrity Media for over 20 years, serving as Creative Director and President of Integrity Music, President of Integrity Label Group, and an Executive Producer of Integrity Music albums. He left Integrity Media in 2008 to start a new initiative.

Moen is also a prolific songwriter, having worked with Claire Cloninger, Paul Overstreet, Martin J. Nystrom, Randy Rothwell, Ron Kenoly, Bob Fitts, Debbye Graafsma, Paul Baloche, Tom Brooks, among many others. He has also worked with talented musicians, Justo Almario, Abraham Laboriel, Alex Acuna, and Carl Albrecht. His name is associated with some of the most well-known songs in Contemporary Christian Music. He was a student at Oral Roberts University.
