Having passed the Continental test against Mtibwa Sugar in
the CAF Confederation Cup, KCCA FC was on the road to it’s Stanbic Uganda Cup title defense.
The yellow boys showed no mercy to Amuka Bright Stars on the
evening as the lower side conceded 8 times answering back only twice.
Young Star Steven Sserwada drew the first blood in the 13th
minute of the game as he headed past Shadrack Ssebulime to put the hosts
upfront.
Allan Okello then provided a sumptuous pass for Mike Mutyaba
who doubled the lead for the holders.
Mike Mutyaba's hattrick and Steven Sserwada's brace were the difference at half time.
Christopher Kirya gave a little frame of hope for the
visitors when he pulled one back in the 41st minute of the game.
However, two minutes into the resumption Allan Okello raced through Amuka Bright stars shaky defence to score a beauty in the 61st minute. Steven Sserwada and Allan Okello's bromance resulted into a goal with the latter finding the back of the net at 63 minutes of playing time.

the bench to take the hosts' goal tally to eight.
Amuka Bright Stars' Benson Nsubuga got a late consolation
goal for the Big League side, to make the final score 8-2.
Amuka Bright Stars coach Aldo Odongo attributed the loss to
fatigue of his players and the astro turf.
"We lost to a better team, it was the first time
playing on the turf and having to travel a day before the game, players had
fatigue which contributed to our downfall. said the big league side coach.
He added, "We have learnt how to attack equally so we
shall will rectify the loopholes in the defence and come back a better side in
the upcoming games."
KCCA FC's Mike Mutebi says his objective is to defend the
title and has praises for the young stars
for the phenomenal performance.
"Our main objective is to defend this title, and
scoring more goals gives us the confidence," Said Mike Mutebi.
"I liked the performance of the young lads, someone
will say that they young, but when on the pitch they play like 25year olds, a Sserwada is now growing like Allan Okello, the
sky is the limit for these kids," he added.
KCCA FC now qualifies for the round of 32 of the Stanbic
Uganda Cup where the winner of the title represents Uganda in the CAF Confederation
Cup.
