National Water to cut off Kampala water supply on Thursday
National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has announced a planned shutdown of their water system in various parts of Kampala and the nearby districts of Wakiso and Mukono.
In a statement released on Wednesday, NWSC says the shutdown will be done to enable them do maintenance and upgrade works on their systems.

“The Management of National Water and Sewerage Corporation wishes to inform its esteemed customers and the general public that there will be water supply interruptions in some parts of Kampala on Thursday December 6, “read in part the statement.
“Customers are therefore advised to store enough water and use it sparingly.”
The shutdown is expected between 7am and 5pm on Thursday.
Some of the areas to be affected include Matugga, Kawempe, Maganjo, Kagoma,Kawanda,Mapererwe, Kalerwe,Kitezi,Kiti,Kitetika their surroundings in Wakiso district .
Others are Kyaliwajjala, Namugongo, Kira, Nsasa, Bulenga, Bulindo, Mulaawa, Kiwologoma, Kito, pof Kireka Kamuli, Bweyogerere, Kirinya, Bukasa and the surrounding areas also in Wakiso.
In Mukono, areas including Seeta Nantabulirirwa, Kiwanga, Seeta, Sonde, Namilyango,Bukerere road, Mukono town, Kayunga road, Namawojjolo, Kitete, Takajunge, Nasuuti, Nabuti, Wantony, Ntawo and surroundings will be without water.
In Kampala, the planned shutdown is scheduled to affect the city centre, Kololo, Acacia,Kamwokya, Wandegeya, Kyebando, Muyenga,Bukasa,Kabalagala,Kansanga, Mbuya, Mutungo, Luzira, Butabika, Namirembe road, Mengo,Nansana, Mengo,Rubaga,Lungujja, Buloba, Bulenga.
