Basena looks for maiden win as SC Villa hosts URA in Uganda Premier League

The new SC Villa coach Moses Basena will be looking for his maiden win as his team hosts Uganda Revenue Authority in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Tuesday afternoon at Namboole stadium.

The record league champions have managed to bag a meagre two points out of 12 in the four games so far played and are under pressure to impress.

More pressure piled on Basena and his boys when they were whitewashed by defending champions and Kitende based Vipers Sports Club in their previous game.

“This is a team trying to rebuild and we can only hope for improvement in the coming games,”Basena said after the Vipers defeat.

On the other side, the winless Jogoos will be trying to go past the tax collectors who are unbeaten this season having won two and drawn two games in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Midfielder Vitaliz Tabu who has two goals so far and defender Paul Mboowa will be turning guns against their former paymasters as the record league champions hosts URA.

Former SC Villa CEO, Ivan Kakembo will be starting his job in the same position at URA after joining the team recently.

URA are fourth with eight points whereas SC Villa are 15th on the 16 team log of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
