Leader of Opposition Aol, Catholic MPs visit Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala

The Leader of the Opposition, Hon. Betty Aol Ocan, has appealed to Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala to pray for Parliament and her Office as they execute their mandate of serving the people of Uganda.

Hon. Aol led a delegation of the Parliamentary Catholic Chaplaincy to visit the Cardinal and present to him the icon of the holy family for blessings before it is sent to its destination in Zambia.

”I will continue banking on your wisdom and guidance.” said Hon. Aol adding that, “We thank you for praying for us and we will also continue praying for you.”

The delegation met the Cardinal at his residence in Nsambya, Kampala today, Friday 26 October 2018.

The icon of the holy family is a symbol that requires Catholic families across the globe to interact, pray and reflect on the core values of marriage and family as the cornerstone of society and the Church.

The Cardinal extended his gratitude to the contribution members render to the communities and their respective constituencies.

“I urge you to continue believing in Jesus Christ and protecting innocent lives,” he said.

He commended the Parliament Catholic Chaplaincy for representing the Catholic Church and its core values of fighting for the innocent lives as children of God.
