IGP Ochola sends 46 senior police officers for refresher course

A total of 46 senior police officers including, Regional and District Police Commanders have been sent for a four month refresher course, the Nile Post has learnt.

In a message issued by the police director in charge of Human Resource Management and Administration, AIGP Moses Balimwoyo, the officers are scheduled to undergo a refresher course starting October 22 at the police Senior Command and Staff College in Bwebajja, along Entebbe road in Wakiso district.

“The under listed officers have been nominated to attend a four months intermediate command and staff course. Joining instructions for the above course should be picked from the office of Deputy Director Human Resource Development on October 12,”reads in part the message.

Among those sent for the refresher course are the Bukedi Regional Police Commander, Superintendent of Police, Julius Gobolo, Mukono DPC, Rogers Sseguya, Nansana DPC, Benard Katwalo and Wandegeya DPC ASP Joseph Nsabimana.

Others are Godwin Ainaitwe, the Busoga East RPC, the RPC, East Kyoga region, Allan Tugyizire and ASP Denis Kasibante, the former Officer in-Charge of Makerere University Police Station.

Other police officers sent for a four month refresher course in Bwebajja include SP Benard Mugerwa, the former DPC for Kabalagala, SP Ngwire Abbey Wasige, SP Brian Ampaire and SP Fred Ahimbisibwe who had previously not been deployed.

“The listed officers must handover office and equipment to the next officer in command. Supervisors should ensure smooth hand and take over,” added the message.
