KCCA FC Pip Tooro United 2-1

KCCA FC started their road to searching their 14th league title with a 2-1 win over Tooro United on Friday 28th September at Startimes Stadium Lugogo

Allan Okello opened the scoring sessions with a thunderous strike from 25yards in the 7th minute of the first half putting the Lugogo based side into the lead. Patrick Kaddu compensated for his earlier wasted chance as he missed a penalty with the 2nd goal of the game.

Tooro United's Allan Kayiwa pulled one back for the guests in the 74th minute of the game but was not enough to deny the hosts 3 points.

KCCA FC coach Mike Hillary Mutebi appreciated his boys for the good performance exhibited that saw them win maximum points in the league opener.

"My players played good football. Tooro united gave them a challenge but they put up a good performance." said Mike Hillary Mutebi.

Tooro United Head coach Wasswa Bbosa appreciated his players for the performance put up though they weren't to able to stop the hosts insisting the best team lost.

"We have lost the game but my players did their best. The best team lost." said Wasswa Bbossa, Tooro United Coach.

Besides KCCA FC, more 5 games kicked off in the StarTimes premier league.

Defending champions Vipers SC struggled to break the deadlock against newly promoted side Ndejje University as they had to wait till the 90th minute to claim a 1-0 victory.
